Freighter

A little freighter, capable of carrying two cargo containers. She also carries a small MSV (Multi Service Vehicle) which can be used as a cargo tender or a shuttle. The engine and reactor are located as far from possible from the inhabited section to avoid possible radiation spillage. Access for maintenance is via the middle pipe section, while the others carry power and fuel.

Apparently, people are seeing this!

Hello all!

I just had a look at the stats for this blog. Surprisingly,  I've had over 100 pageviews! Internet fame is sure to follow!

People from the UK, the US, Malaysia and Croatia have visited, and it would seem that Chrome is the most preferred browser.

So, to anyone that stops bye, hello there! Fell free to leave a comment or something, tell me what the weather is like wherever you are.

Goodbye, zbogom, anselamat tinggal!
(Google translate, don't fail me now!)

Battlestar Valiant

Hey folks! I'm back, with my very own Battlestar (sort of). May I humbly present: The Valiant.

Right then, lets get all the normal views over with: Front, back, top, bottom and side.

Heres a 3/4 shot of the back. Blue are the main engines, orange is the FTL drive.
Now onto the lovely details. First up, air locks. Valiant has two on each side, one for personnel, one for cargo or vehicles.

Next, the fighter launch tubes. The individual fighters use a magnetic accelerator to hurl them into space at combat velocities. There are two fighters per tube, except the last two which have one shuttle each.
One of my favourite shots, The landing bays. They can house visiting ships, and are used for repairs, or to carry ships without an FTL drive. The fighters and shuttles return through the tubes in the walls, passing through the maintenance bay inside the ship, before being returned to the launch tubes.

The topside main cannons are the primary weapons of the Valiant, meant to provide covering fire for launching righters, and long range bombardments of enemy ships. When they're not in use, they recess into grooves in the hull.

Lastly, a quick look at the smaller vessels the Valiant carries. She can hold 32 fighters and 4 shuttles in her main hanger, and can support many more (temporarily) in her landing bays. This class also has the assembly bays to manufacture an infinite supply of vehicles, arms and ammunition, given the right supplies. As such, she can function as a self contained fleet by herself, and is ideal for long deployments in enemy territory.
