Troop Carrier

Hey folks! Sorry about the long wait, and the unfulfilled promise of dropshipness, but here is something else instead! (And it does have the dropships in it).

Presenting, the Troop Carrier, all the army you'll ever need conveniently stored in one spaceship!
Rather than try to make a highly detailed ship (as it either crashes my laptop or I get bored) I thought I'd have a go at making one big ship, with lots of little ones. As we all know, its quantity over quality, right? The bit of dirt in the bottom left is a person, for scale reference.

First up, we see the escape pods! There are 54 total, 6 on either side at the front, and 21 on each flank. Each one can seat about 10 people. Cosy!

Next, the HERV or Human Exoatmospheric Re-entry Vehicle. Basically a box with a parachute that fires a soldier down to the ground in. Totally stolen from the Halo universe, where the ODST's use them. Though, interestingly, the US military is looking at a similar idea, to be able to deploy troops anywhere on Earth within 4 hours.

A shot of the hangers now. There is a door on either side, and one underneath, to allow the maximum amount of movement in the shortest amount of time. There are two hangers, fore and aft, and each has it's own set of doors. You can see two dropships exiting from the underbelly, and a cargo ship leaving from the side.

An interior shot of one hanger bay. The ships are packed in, 10 cargo ships and 14 dropships per hanger. Again, the speck at the front is a person, for scale reference.

Engines at the rear. I like 'em big! (Italian Job reference)

A shot of the underside, so you can see both the hangers, and all the drop pods.

That's all for now folks, enjoy!
